I have lived in Toronto long enough to have a short list of places I return to without planning it. Writing them down, I noticed something I had not thought about: three of the four cost nothing to walk into. Toronto is an expensive city to spend an afternoon in. What these four have in common, I realised only after listing them, is that none of them hurry you.
